Sanctuary Camelback Mountain, A Gurney’s Resort & Spa
There is no doubt that our sleepy surfer village has become more popular than ever and Montauk remains a special place for so many. There are dozens of reasons why Montauk is considered to be a great travel destination once the cold winter days are behind us. People will say it's the proximity to the city, the beaches, the parks and the restaurants- but we know it's the people who make it so special.
There are tons of things to do, activities to take part in, and community events to attend, so if you’re planning a trip to the east end, make sure you check out what's happening around town.
Saturday, March 26
Join the Montauk Chamber of Commerce at this year’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade with Grand Marshal, Jim Grimes. The parade will be held on Sunday, March 26th from 12:00pm-2:30pm. It has been estimated that 40,000 spectators and supporters have attended this annual event in years past, which was conceived as a way to bring an end to the dreary winters in Montauk and welcome Spring with a joyous and festive Irish celebration. The Montauk St. Patrick's Day Parade has become a part of the fabric of the community over it's many years, and while the faces in the crowds lining the streets have changed, what has not changed are the smiles on those faces, young and old alike, and the fun all are welcome to join in at this community event.
March 31 to April 2
