Spring 2022: Guide to Montauk

With around 3,000 year round residents, Montauk’s summer population can swell to over 30,000 people. There is no doubt that our sleepy surfer village has become more popular than ever and remains a special place for so many. There are tons of things to do, activities to take part in, and events to attend, so if you’re planning a trip to the east end, make sure you check out what's happening around town.

MONTAUK LIGHTHOUSE

This national historic landmark is located at the easternmost point of Long Island.

MONTAUK MUSIC FESTIVAL

The 11th annual Montauk Music Festival hosted by Montauk Sun is coming back this year, from May 19th – May 22nd, with a 4-day long showcase of musicians performing original music. All shows are free and are performed at 45 different venues in Montauk, with a special 2 day open-air stage concert with two stages at the Montauk Lighthouse. 

ART SHOW ON THE GREEN

The East End’s most popular outdoor art show will be running on select weekends from April through June. Check out the full schedule on their website.

MONTAUK FARMER’S MARKET

The Montauk Farmers Market occurs every Thursday starting Memorial Day through Labor day, 9am – 2pm. 

BLESSING OF THE FLEET 

The Blessing of the Fleet will take place on June 12th, from 5pm-7pm at Town Dock in Montauk Harbor. Boats are decorated with colorful flags and line up in the harbor, ranging from Boston Whalers and skiffs, as well as charter boats, sailboats, and private yachts.

MONDAY NIGHT CONCERTS ON THE GREEN

Join the Montauk Chamber of Commerce sponsored event Monday nights on the Green, from 6:30pm-8:30pm and Sunday night concerts at Gosman’s. These free concerts start in late June through Labor Day weekend.
