There’s nothing more special than when Spring arrives in New England, except maybe when spring turns into a beautiful summer.

Only an hour and a half drive from Boston and about 3 hours from NYC, Newport Rhode Island is known for its history, tradition and waterfront heritage. June 4, 2022 - September 24, 2022

Watch the home team, USA/Newport, take on challengers from around the world and major U.S. cities in one of the most exciting spectator sports in the world. Matches are held every Saturday, June – Sept., at Newport Polo, home of America’s First Polo Club. Festivities include Opening and Closing ceremonies, half-time Divot Stomp, Player’s Salute, Trophy Presentation, Après Polo Lounge, fan prizes, and other special weekly features fieldside.

Matches start at 5PM / 4PM in September. Expert commentary and Jumbotron live coverage explain the nuances of the game. Reserved Pavilion tables and Tailgate picnic spaces are sold in advance online, and Lawn Seating available online and at the entry gates.

JUNE 10-12, 2022 ~ Newport and Bristol RI

Join the Japan America Society of Rhode Island for the 38th Annual Black Ships Festival. A celebration of the friendship and culture between Japan and the United States and the trading treaty negotiated by Rhode Island’s Own Commodore Matthew C. Perry, USN over 160 years ago. From Arts & Crafts, Taiko Drumming and Martial Arts there are a variety of activities for all ages and interest. Independence Park will become a Japanese American Village with arts crafts and martial arts.

All proceeds from The Newport Flower Show are dedicated to the ongoing restoration and preservation of The Preservation Society of Newport County's 88 acres of gardens and landscapes. This year's Flower Show will include:

- A beautiful and lush central garden exhibit will honor our longtime Presenting Sponsor, Bartlett Tree Experts.
- The Floral Design Division will once again charm visitors with floral designs inspired by the Show theme.
- Botanical Arts Exhibitors will present stunning designs of dried plant material with themes representing fantasy necklaces, a mini cover-up and serpents ready to strike.
- The popular Horticulture Division will once again ask beginner and skilled gardeners to bring their best plants and flowers cut from their gardens for judging and display.
- Enjoy a stroll through the Cour d ’Amour and view a garden exhibit highlighting the whimsy of Green Animals Topiary Garden.


Every year, Newport Pride Weekend takes place throughout Newport, celebrating the LGBTQ+ community while promoting love, acceptance, inclusivity and diversity. This year, Pride Weekend returns June 24 - 26 with a full line-up of exciting events and experiences.

The Newport Folk Festival, founded by George Wein in 1959, takes place on the grounds at Fort Adams State Park and features four stages of world class musicians, food, vendors and a number of exhibits. Fort Adams is located at 90 Fort Adams Drive, Newport, RI. One of the park system’s national treasures, Fort Adams is situated at the mouth of Newport Harbor with panoramic views of the Newport Bridge and the East Passage. The festival runs rain or shine.

The festival features three full days of jazz on four unique stages on the grounds at Fort Adams State Park situated at the mouth of Newport Harbor with panoramic views of the Newport Bridge and the East Passage The festival features four stages of world class musicians, food, and crafts and a number of exhibits.
